Almost Through January!
The last month has been busy!! How about you? Twelve days (and counting) of being sick has not helped! But I'm back and excited for the new year. Yesterday I did a presentation on my OrganizeDesign service and it went great!! Lots of positive feedback and have had some people report back that they are implementing my suggestions. Makes a gal feel great!
This is the time of the year that many people focus on organization. The stores promote it with their display of storage container a plenty!
The other items we see promoted this time of year are exercise dvd's, weight loss shakes etc. What does this say about our society...we eat to much, sit too much and have too much stuff?? Maybe. Is organization on your TO DO LIST this January? I have an amazing checklist to get you started! Leave your email in the comment section and I will send it out to you! It is the perfect kick start to your OrganizeDesign for 2014! I will also be showing you some awesome and beautiful storage options. Stay tuned!

Tis the Season!
The Christmas season is here! I love this time of year. The decorations, the food, and spending time with friends and family!
Are you organizing?? I am SO wanting to purge and organizedesign!!! It is making me crazy! I am going to push those feelings aside and enjoy this time of year. Of course I will continue to "maintain" things until January...and then look out!! How about you? Are you in purge mode too?
As I focus on the season I am posting a few pictures today of Christmas décor items. Relax (if you can)
and enjoy the season.

Giving Thanks
This is the time of year set aside to contemplate, ponder and express our thanks to those who make our lives wonderful. To reflect on the blessings we have received. Many people choose to post a gratitude a day through out the month. I have decided to post just once regarding the things, blessings, and people for which I have gratitude. I am grateful for my faith, my Savior and His redemptive power. For a FREE country that allows me and you to worship how we choose. For those that have given their lives or are willing to, to protect those freedoms. For my incredible family, husband and children...for their love, strength, and support. For my amazing, crazy fun, beautiful, strong and loving grandchildren. For parents and brother who loved and taught me so much. For friends and associates that also bring joy and happiness to me. For clients that enrich my life. I have blessings beyond measure and certainly cannot mention them all here. I will strive to live a more thankful life. To be more conscience of my blessings and better at expressing gratitude to those around me. My thanks to you for stopping by and spending some time here. May you live a blessed life. ~L~

Uncreative to Creation Room
I love this project!! A fabulous mother of 6 came to me with an idea. To create a "creation room" for her children! Her beautiful home has a formal dining room off the foyer. The space is wonderful, but as she told me they don't have many formal dinners with 6 kids 11-1 yrs. This is way too much real estate to have unused or not used to its full potential! With that we had our initial meeting. She wanted a space that her children could well, create! They play instruments so they would need to practice in this space as well as do homework. One of the things I do at the first meeting of a redesign project is we go on a "treasure hunt". I walk thru the home and look for items that can be reused or repurposed. This proved to be very fruitful! Many items she had planned on disposing of were reused in the room. With her desires in mind, I set about putting together a plan. She is a very creative person so once she took a good look at the idea board, she was off! The room is fantastic and filled with repurposed items. This room truly proves that organization, beauty and style live very well together! This is one of my favorite projects!! NOTE: In the after pic the table in the middle was black and was in a basement storage room. The bench on the left side was a coffee table on its way to Goodwill. LOVE the treasure hunt!! The rug (2 rugs)were purchased from Goodwill and the brown chair in right corner from Salvation Army. It was spray painted with fabric paint. The light fixture once was brassy now classy!

Organize Your Work Space
A recent client came to us with a dilemma. Her desk area, children's craft area and the calendar area all needed to be OrganizeDesigne(d). The spaces are open to each other and she was not sure how best to address the situation. We came up with a plan that was convenient and attractive. Check out Target, Jayson Home dot com, Pier 1, Made In Design dot com, The Container Store, Ikea, Nordstrom, Pottery Barn and Zgallerie dot com for information and pricing for the products used.

Create an Experience
When you think organization also think beauty. I love to use items in unexpected ways. Old muffin tins become "vintage" when used to hold office supplies such as paperclips, rubber bands, etc. Using lovely bowls, plates and tea cups to contain jewelry and other accessories in a bathroom or closet creates a charming space. When you use items you currently own it gives your space character and many times a memory is attached to a certain piece.
